Lelah Hedayati, Leicester Alumni, Canadian Lawyer practicing in Toronto, will give a talk on how to get a job in Canada, including preparing for the NCAs, putting a resume together and tips on applying for jobs!
There will be a sign up sheet at the talk on Monday for individual appointments on Tuesday Feb 7th and Wednesday Feb 8th with Laleh. She is very helpful for students, the Law School recommends you take advantage of her time while she is here.

On Friday March 4th be a part of the most coveted CLS event! For only for 5 pound (7 pounds for non-members) your journey will include: your travel to London and back, explore the Supreme Court and so much more!
The coach will depart from The University of Leicester at 6am and depart from Parliament square at 8pm. You will be dropped off in front of the Supreme Court to enjoy a tour of the Court's and after that you can plan the rest of your day enjoying all that London has to offer. All for an amazing price!

Our very own Leicester Alumni Laleh Hedayati will be hosting a workshop on how to transition your legal career in Canada. Lelah is working in Toronto for http://www.hshlawyers.com/team/laleh-hedayati/, the workshop will be on Nov 30th from 3-5pm in Bennett LT5.
She will also be offerring one on one sessions with students for mentoring/working on student resumes on Dec 1st and Dec 2nd from 9-11am & 12-2pm (same times for both dates) in room FJ 170C. Sign up sheets for the one on one sessions will be available at the workshop!
Join us for CLS’s annual Ugly Sweater Party on Friday November 27th! Term is wrapping up and what better way to celebrate with your friends and classmates then by showing off your ugliest sweater and enjoying some good drinks!
Our Ugly Sweater party will be held at Fat Cats located on Belvoir St. A special drink menu has been created for us, which will be valid until 1am. You will receive a wristband once you get your ticket, the wristband will give you access to the drink specials.
Tickets will be given in exchange for optional donation towards charity, because it is the season of giving:) Tickets will be available starting next week at the CLS Office L26.

The CLS will be making our annual visit to the Supreme Court and Parliament on the 20th of March! Tickets will be sold in the CLS office (L26) between 11-3 from Tuesday-Friday. The cost of the trip for either Parliament or the Supreme Court is 5 pounds (including transportation) - for paid CLS members. THERE ARE LIMITED SPACES AND TICKETS WILL BE SOLD ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.
A night of FREE coffee, cakes, and discussion of the hot button global legal issue of assisted dying.
Everyone is welcome to attend this event!
