Neil Proudfoot (Careers Officer)
My name is Neil Proudfoot and I am the Careers Officer of the Canadian Law Society. My responsibilities to the club are to ensure students are informed on upcoming career opportunities, as well as providing seminars aimed at increasing an individual’s employability. Earlier this year we had the pleasure of welcoming Kari Abrams, Director of Student Programs & Junior Associates at Blakes, Cassels, Graydon LLP, to one of our seminars. The aim of this was to help students better understand what Canadian law firms are looking for in their prospective employees. We hope to continue our commitment to our law students with similar events in the future.
Prior to my time here in Leicester I completed my undergrad at Western University, attaining an Honours specialization in History with a minor in political science. During my time there I sat on four executive councils; three years as Vice President of Communications and my final year as President. I look forward to the remainder of my school year and what the future holds upon attaining my LLB.
