Neil Zimmerman (Master of Moots)

I would like to start by welcoming you all to the University of Leicester on behalf of the Canadian Law Society. We hope you are as excited for the upcoming year as we are!

I am your Master of the Moots for the Canadian Law Society and I am very excited about what this year has to offer. I am in my Final Year of the Law (Senior Status) program and the university, I come from Calgary and like many of my fellow Canadians I plan to return to Canada to pursue a legal career. The Canadian Mooting competition is developed to help all you Canadians gain a competitive advantage when returning home, and for the local students to gain valuable international experience.

With regards to this upcoming year, we have a very exciting internal mooting competition during the first semester and an external competition after Christmas. The Canadian mooting competitions feature issues regarding Canadian constitutional law, it is a unique challenge hosted by the University and offers students great exposure to the world around them.

If you see me or any of the other CLS executives on campus or in town please come and say Hi. We will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
