Shelbi Dippold (Mistress of the Moots)
First off, I would like to welcome all of our incoming students to the University of Leicester. You are about to be a part of an exciting and very busy year. I am your Mistress of the Moots for the Canadian Law Society and I am very excited about what this year has to offer. I am in my Final Year of the Law (Senior Status) program and the university and am part of many of the other organizations and groups in the Law school including Street Law, LULS Netball, mooting as well as a few mentorship programs so I am sure you will see me running for place to place over the course of the year.
With regards to this upcoming year, this is the first year for the Mistress of the Moots and I intend to lay the groundwork for upcoming years and ensure the Canadians get the same exposure as students studying back home. You will be able to compete in different competitions featuring Canadian content and I seek to ensure that you come out of law school being able to moot, advocate, and debate circles around those students who chose to stay in Canada for their legal education.
If you see me or any of the other CLS executives hanging around campus, come up and say Hi. We will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
